2020 has been a crazy year to say the least, but it’s given me some uniquely one of a kind experiences and it’s also been a great leveler of people and myths. I’ve spent most of it in Thailand appreciating my immediate surroundings as well as gaining some insights into just how much the world has changed within this short space of time.
Exploring new places whilst keeping with safe social habits and cleanliness standards has definitely been an incremental process for me. More of a nurtured relationship with a new way of traveling that’s quite different to a hurried few nights affair exploring one country.
Having said that, I recently had a beautiful stay in Bangkok old town district at Khao San Art Hotel. Extremely central to most Bangkok attractions (Wat Arun and Wat Pho are close by and Pier 13 for river boats is right across the road), it offers an imaginative and quirky style. There’s a characteristic fusion flair; comfy Thai style nooks and a continental on site restaurant (Picasso’s), boasting the biggest Pizza slice in the whole of Bangkok. That’s massive!
Its hip and high energy, friendly staff and comfortable neat rooms (with all the amenities you need really) make for an easy going and organized stay.
A contemporary concept hotel with an artsy museum feel, right in the heart of Bangkok’s vibrant district of Khao San. If comfortable budget accommodation and warm hospitality at a fantastically low price are right up your alley, look no further than Khao San Art Hotel.
